CCR was able to collect “B” class Douglas-fir cones from the IDFxm to be able to use in sowing activities to regenerate burned Fir stands.
Collected ~175hL of cones.
Roughly 9.7 million potential seedlings available.
Seed good for use throughout the IDFxm, IDFdk3, IDFdk4, SBPSdc and SBPSxc using CBST guidelines. Can almost be used anywhere W of Williams Lake within the Cariboo Region for rehabilitating burned Douglas-fir stands.
