About Percy Guichon

Percy Guichon is a respected leader in the forestry sector, known for his vision, strategic leadership, and deep commitment to community-driven economic development. As Chief Executive Officer of Central Chilcotin Rehabilitation Ltd. (CCR) and an elected Councillor of the Tŝideldel First Nation, Percy has been instrumental in building one of British Columbia’s most recognized Indigenous-led forestry organizations.

Under Percy’s leadership, CCR has grown into a transformative Indigenous-led joint venture between the Tŝideldel First Nation, Tl’etinqox Government, and Yunesit’in Government focused on large-scale forest rehabilitation, wildfire risk reduction, fibre utilization, and the long-term sustainability of traditional forest land. With projects that span from aerial drone reforestation to wildfire mitigation and Douglas-fir stand recovery, Percy has helped position CCR as a catalyst for innovation, a driver of meaningful employment, and a model for Indigenous business leadership.

A Forest Technician by training, Percy began his journey into forestry through a high school work experience program and furthered his education with support from the Tŝideldel Education Trust Fund. He went on to help found Tŝideldel Enterprises Ltd., and over the years has merged hands-on experience with strategic insight to champion forest stewardship that reflects both Indigenous values and environmental responsibility.

Today, Percy serves on multiple boards, including the Eniyud Community Forests, Tŝi Del DelEnterprises Ltd., Dandzen Development Corporation, and Tl’etinqox Economic Development Corporation. His leadership has contributed to CCR receiving numerous provincial and national accolades, including the 2022 Indigenous Business Award for Business Partnership of the Year, the 2024 FPAC Indigenous Business Leadership Award, and the 2025 Canadian Biomass Company of the Year.

A sought-after speaker, Percy has delivered keynote addresses and served on national panels, sharing insights on Indigenous-led resource development, wildfire resilience, and building bridges between Nations, industry, and government. His message is grounded in lived experience and future-focused: Indigenous communities are not just participants in the forestry economy butleaders shaping its future.

Percy’s career is rooted in the belief that land and people are interconnected. His work with CCR continues to create opportunities for Indigenous youth, foster environmental resilience, and strengthen local economies across the Chilcotin. With quiet determination and bold vision, Percy Guichon is helping redefine what’s possible for Indigenous leadership in natural resource management.
