Central Chilcotin Rehabilitation Ltd. (CCR) is pleased to share that Percy Guichon, CEO of CCR and elected Councillor of Tŝideldel First Nation, has joined the Interior Logging Association (ILA) Board of Directors.

The ILA represents independent loggers across B.C.’s Interior and works to support the timber harvesting industry through advocacy, safety, education, and workforce development. Its members play an important role in local economies and forestry communities across the province.

According to Todd Chamberlain, RFT, General Manager of the Interior Logging Association, ILA board members are nominated by their peers, making Percy’s appointment a reflection of the respect he has earned within the forestry sector.

“His work with both CCR and Tŝi Del Del brings a different perspective to our Board of Directors and to our industry,” said Chamberlain. “His knowledge brings another level of expertise not only to our Board of Directors but also to our membership across the province.”

Chamberlain also noted that the ILA has been working alongside Indigenous forestry leaders for several years, including First Nations Forestry Council CEO Lennard Joe, who has served on the ILA board for the past seven years. He shared that this representation helps strengthen collaboration and brings a broader range of voices into conversations about forestry in British Columbia.

Percy’s experience in Indigenous-led forestry, forest rehabilitation, fibre utilization, and community-based economic development brings a valuable perspective to the ILA board as the sector continues to change.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve on the ILA Board,” said Percy Guichon, CEO of CCR and elected Councillor of Tŝideldel First Nation. “I look forward to sharing perspectives, learning from others across the sector, and supporting collaboration that benefits our forests, communities, and industry.”

CCR congratulates Percy on this appointment and looks forward to the insight he will bring to this role.
