Collaborators in Forestry: TŝiDelDel Enterprises

As part of its ongoing Collaborators in Forestry series, Central Chilcotin Rehabilitation Ltd. (CCR) is highlighting TŝiDelDel Enterprises and its long-standing role in First Nations-led forestry in British Columbia.
Established in 1992, TŝiDelDel Enterprises is a joint venture between Tŝideldel First Nation and Tolko Industries. It is one of British Columbia’s longest-standing First Nations-industry forestry joint ventures and works in collaboration with CCR to support forestry operations including commercial and salvage logging with over 30 pieces of heavy equipment and up to 35 logging trucks.
The joint venture was created to support meaningful employment, business development, and forestry participation for the Tŝideldel First Nation. By bringing together First Nation leadership with industry experience, the joint venture helped establish a practical model for partnership at a time when this type of joint venture was still uncommon.
That foundation continues to shape the organization today.
Through TŝiDelDel Enterprises, the Tŝideldel First Nation has direct and important role in the forestry sector. The work supports local jobs, builds skills of Nation members, and creates experience that can be carried forward within the community.
The people behind the company are also central to its story. Over the years, employees, community members, leaders, and generations of forestry workers have contributed to its growth. Their knowledge and experience continue to support the business while helping create pathways for younger people entering the field.
“TŝiDelDel Enterprises has created opportunities for our members to build careers, develop skills, and be directly involved in forestry on our lands,” said Philippe Theriault, General Manager, TŝiDelDel Enterprises. “But the impact reaches beyond our community. It shows what can be achieved when First Nations and industry work together with a shared commitment to the land, the people, and the future of forestry.”
As TŝiDelDel Enterprises approaches its 35th anniversary in 2027, it carries forward a legacy built over decades, with deep roots in the community and an important place in B.C.’s forestry sector.
CCR is proud to recognize TŝiDelDel Enterprises as a long-standing collaborator and to celebrate the people who continue to shape its story.
