Central Chilcotin Rehabilitation Nominated for Newsmaker of the Year

Central Chilcotin Rehabilitation Ltd. (CCR) is pleased to be nominated for 'Newsmaker of the Year' at the 2026 Williams Lake & District Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards.

The award recognizes notable achievements, leadership, innovation, and events that have generated public and media attention over the past year.

For CCR, the nomination comes during a year that has seen the organization and its partners continue to advance Indigenous-led forest rehabilitation, wildfire risk reduction, fibre utilization, and collaboration across the Cariboo Chilcotin region. CCR’s work has also received recognition beyond the region, helping bring greater attention to the opportunities created through Indigenous leadership and collaboration in forestry.

The winners will be announced at the 29th Annual Williams Lake & District Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards on October 24.
