Central Chilcotin Rehabilitation Ltd. (CCR) is proud to share that its CEO, Percy Guichon, will be a featured speaker at the Forest Nursery Association of British Columbia (FNABC) 43rd Conference & Annual General Meeting, taking place September 23–25, 2025, at the Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney, B.C.
On September 24, Guichon will lead the discussion as the keynote speaker during the session titled "Reforestation of Minimally Economic Stands." His talk will provide insights into CCR’s innovative approach to post-wildfire rehabilitation, alternative funding models, and the role of Indigenous leadership in advancing large-scale forest restoration.
“I am honoured to be invited to the Forest Nursery Association of BC Conference to share CCR’s story,” said Guichon, CEO of CCR and an elected Councillor of Tŝideldel First Nation. “Our work is about more than planting trees; it’s about creating resilient forests, building economic opportunities for our communities, and strengthening Indigenous-led forestry in British Columbia.”
The FNABC conference brings together nursery professionals, clients, suppliers, and government representatives to discuss trends, challenges, and opportunities in the field of reforestation. For CCR, this event provides an important platform to share its model of Indigenous-led forestry and build relationships with industry partners working to ensure healthy, sustainable forests for the future.
