Central Chilcotin Rehabilitation Ltd. (CCR) is proud to share that its CEO, Percy Guichon will be a panelist at the Forward Summit West Coast Conference, taking place on September 3-4, 2025, at the Vancouver Convention Centre. Percy will join the “Forestry, Fisheries and Agriculture – Returning to the Land; The Interconnection Between Indigenous Communities and The Natural Resource Sector” session on September 3 from 3:00-4:30 p.m. PT.

The session, moderated by Dean Assinewe, Vice President of the Canadian Institute of Forestry, will explore how Indigenous communities are revitalizing relationships with the land through forestry, fisheries, and agriculture. Rooted in cultural wisdom and lived experience, the discussion will highlight how Indigenous-led approaches shape sustainable land management, advance economic opportunities, and strengthen resilience for future generations.

“I am honoured to be part of the Forward Summit West Coast conference and to join this important discussion on the interconnection between Indigenous communities and natural resource sectors,” shared Guichon, CEO of CCR and an elected Councillor of Tŝideldel First Nation. “Our work in forestry is focused on stewardship, resilience, and ensuring the health of the land continues to sustain the health of our people for generations to come.”

The Forward Summit West Coast conference is recognized as a leading gathering of Indigenous and industry leaders, bringing together voices to explore reconciliation in practice, Indigenous entrepreneurship, cultural integrity, and innovation in sustainable energy and resource development.

CCR is proud to have Percy invited to speak at the conference. Through Indigenous-led forest rehabilitation projects, CCR is committed to creating economic opportunities for Indigenous communities and leaving a legacy of healthy, sustainable forests for generations.
