Central Chilcotin Rehabilitation Ltd. (CCR) was honoured to participate in the Forest Nursery Association of British Columbia (FNABC) 43rd Conference & Annual General Meeting, held September 23–25, 2025, at the Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney, B.C.

Percy Guichon, CCR CEO and elected councillor for Tŝideldel First Nation, led the September 24 session ‘Reforestation of Minimally Economic Stands’, where he highlighted CCR’s innovative business model, Indigenous-led forest rehabilitation, and alternative funding approaches that make large-scale recovery work possible.
“It was an honour to contribute to the Forest Nursery Association of BC Conference and share CCR’s perspective,” said Guichon. “Our focus is on restoring forests that others might overlook, creating opportunities for our communities, and demonstrating that Indigenous leadership is vital to the future of forestry.”
The FNABC conference brought together leaders from nurseries, industry, and government to share best practices and discuss the future of reforestation in B.C. CCR’s participation underscored its commitment to innovative forest rehabilitation, capacity-building, and advancing Indigenous-led approaches that benefit both the environment and local economies.
