Central Chilcotin Rehabilitation Ltd. Newsletter Highlights Indigenous-Led Forestry and Regional Collaboration
Williams Lake, B.C.: Central Chilcotin Rehabilitation Ltd. (CCR) has released its latest newsletter, highlighting recent work in Indigenous-led forestry, forest rehabilitation, sector collaboration, and stewardship across the Cariboo Chilcotin.
The newsletter reflects a busy season for CCR, including work connected to the Palmer Project, a recent collaboration with the Wood Pellet Association of Canada, participation in regional and international forestry discussions, and the launch of CCR’s Collaborators in Forestry series.
“This newsletter reflects the range of work happening through Central Chilcotin Rehabilitation Ltd. and the relationships that continue to support it,” said Percy Guichon, CEO of CCR and elected Councillor of Tŝideldel First Nation. “Our focus remains on helping to create healthier forests, creating opportunities for our communities, and supporting long-term benefits on the land.”
The latest newsletter also includes updates on CCR’s recognition from the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business as the 2026 Indigenous Small Business of the Year, its delegation to the Cariboo Regional District to raise awareness for its rehabilitation work, and engagement with various Cariboo Chilcotin forestry connections at the Cariboo Chilcotin Forestry Forum to discuss the future of forestry in the region.

About Central Chilcotin Rehabilitation Ltd.
Central Chilcotin Rehabilitation is a joint venture of Tŝideldel First Nation, Tl’etinqox Government, and Yunesit’in Government. The joint venture was originally formed to address the 100,000 hectares of dead pine left in the Chilcotin region and to rehabilitate those stands into productive forests. The fires in the summer of 2017 amplified the need to address heavily burned forest stands with minimal economic value.
