CCR’s Executive Director Percy Guichon to Share Insights at Forest Canada Conference 2025

Central Chilcotin Rehabilitation Ltd. (CCR) is pleased to announce that its Executive Director, Percy Guichon, has been invited to present at the upcoming Forest Conference 2025, hosted by Forests Canada. The event will take place on February 19 and 20 at the Hilton Toronto Airport Hotel & Suites in Mississauga, Ontario, bringing together leaders from the forestry sector, Indigenous communities, and policymakers to discuss the future of Canada’s forests.


"I am looking forward to attending The Forest Conference, hosted by Forests Canada, and joining the 'Building Bridges: Indigenous-Led Strategies for Economic and Environmental Resilience' panel to speak about the experiences on behalf of Central Chilcotin Rehabilitation Ltd.," shared Percy Guichon. "Having the chance to share our perspective, what has worked well, and things we would change is a great opportunity to encourage and inspire others. I'm eager to learn from others to improve our communities and efforts in land rehabilitation.”

Guichon will participate in a panel discussion exploring Indigenous-led economic and environmental resilience strategies. The session will highlight the importance of collaboration between Indigenous communities, government agencies, and industries to create sustainable solutions that respect traditional knowledge and modern forestry practices. Topics will include approaches to land stewardship, obligations in policy and legislation, and the role of reconciliation in building strong and sustainable economies.
